Intel reported growth in sales and revenues for the first quarter of 2011, driven by the addition of new products and strength in the enterprise market.

The company reported net income of $ 3.2 billion on a GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles) basis for the quarter that ended on 2 April to 29 percent compared with the same quarter a year ago. The company reported earnings per share of $ 0.56.
