Advanced Micro Devices shot down rumors that it is pursuing an ARM license, saying that it will stick to the development of tablets chips for around the x 86 architecture.
AMD is not looking for an ARM license if it has a powerful CPU and graphics technology around to build chips for tablets, said John Taylor, Director of client product and marketing at AMD software. AMD is currently computer chips based on the x 86 architecture, and next year plans to releasing his first dedicated tablet chips based on the x 86 instruction set.
